Dr. Medion VC+ Essence is a concentrated Vitamin C serum designed to support a brighter, smoother and more even-looking complexion while maintaining hydration and barrier comfort.

The formula combines three Vitamin C derivatives — APPS, Glyceryl Ascorbate and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate — with Vitamins E and B6, Ceramide NG, nine amino acids and moisture-supporting ingredients including betaine and Sodium PCA.

Lightweight with a slightly viscous serum texture, VC+ Essence is more concentrated than VC+ Lotion while remaining easy to layer underneath moisturiser. Use it morning and evening as the treatment step of the VC+ routine, or introduce it independently into an existing skincare routine.

APPS + Vitamin C derivatives
APPS (Trisodium Ascorbyl Palmitate Phosphate) is joined by Glyceryl Ascorbate and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, giving the formula three complementary Vitamin C derivatives. Together, they provide antioxidant care and support a brighter, smoother and more even-looking complexion.

Vitamin E + Vitamin B6 derivative
Complement the Vitamin C complex and help support healthy-looking, well-conditioned skin.

Ceramide NG + 9 amino acids
Help support moisture retention and barrier function. The amino acid complex includes components associated with the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF).

Betaine + Sodium PCA

VC+ Lotion, Essence or Cream?

All three products share the VC+ multivitamin approach but perform different roles in the routine.

VC+ Lotion — lightweight hydration and preparation
VC+ Essence — concentrated Vitamin C treatment
VC+ Cream — nourishing moisture and barrier-supporting final layer

VC+ Lotion and Essence can be used together, but you don’t necessarily need the complete range. VC+ Essence can also be introduced independently when you want to add a concentrated Vitamin C step to an existing routine.

With SpaOxy Gel

VC+ Essence can also be used as a booster before Dr. Medion SpaOxy Gel.

Apply VC+ Essence first and allow it to settle before applying the freshly mixed carbonated gel mask. For a Vitamin C-focused SpaOxy treatment, it can also be paired with SpaOxy Gel Bright Plus.

How to use

Use morning and evening after lotion. Dispense approximately two pumps and gently smooth over the face until absorbed. Follow with moisturiser and SPF during the day.

Complete VC+ routine:
Cleanse → VC+ Lotion → VC+ Essence → VC+ Cream → SPF in the morning

Good to know

VC+ Essence has a lightweight, slightly viscous serum texture designed to layer easily underneath moisturiser.

The formula contains orange oil and has a light citrus character. Those who prefer fragrance-free skincare may wish to take this into consideration.
