FIBERHANCE™ BM — STRENGTHENING FROM WITHIN
One of the most interesting technologies in the formula is FiberHance™ BM, a sugar-derived complex based on Hydroxypropyl Gluconamide and Hydroxypropylammonium Gluconate.
It is designed to interact with keratin, the main structural protein of hair, helping reinforce weakened fibres and improve strength, resilience, body and flexibility. Dr. Medion uses it in both the Head Spa Shampoo and Treatment, giving the routine a consistent strengthening element rather than leaving all the repair work to the conditioner.

CUTI-PRO™ — LOTUS FLOWER PROTECTION
CUTI-PRO™ is derived from Lotus flower petals and is included to help care for damage associated with UV exposure, both within the hair and around the outer cuticle.

They are not the main reason I would choose this product — the strengthening and conditioning technologies are more important in a treatment applied primarily to the hair — but they complete Dr. Medion's broader philosophy of looking after the scalp and hair as one system.
WILL IT ACTUALLY REPAIR DAMAGED HAIR?
Yes — but we need to be sensible about what “repair” means.
Hair that has grown out of the follicle is not living tissue, so a conditioner cannot biologically heal damaged hair in the same way skin heals a wound.
What a sophisticated treatment can do is reinforce weakened areas, improve the condition of the cuticle, reduce roughness, increase flexibility and make damaged hair considerably easier to manage.
FiberHance™ BM, Hydrolysed Keratin, conditioning agents and emollients approach damage from slightly different directions, helping hair feel stronger, smoother and less brittle.
That is meaningful repair — without pretending your highlighted ends have somehow become virgin hair again.
WILL IT WEIGH FINE HAIR DOWN?
The treatment is designed to provide moisture, smoothness and body without an unnecessarily heavy finish, making it suitable for finer hair as well as coarse or dry hair.
The important part is application.
Fine hair usually doesn't need a large amount of conditioner close to the roots. Concentrate the product through the mid-lengths and ends, particularly where damage and dryness are most noticeable.
If your ends are particularly compromised, Dr. Medion specifically recommends applying an additional layer to those areas.

THE AROMA — THE MOST LUXURIOUS STEP OF THE HEAD SPA ROUTINE
This product has a slightly different sensory personality from the rest of the Head Spa line.
The Japanese formula centres the aroma around Damask Rose, supported by Geranium, Lavender and Clary Sage, creating a soft floral fragrance intended to feel relaxing and luxurious rather than medicinal.
The formula also contains Orange, Rosehip and Eucalyptus oils.
For most people, these aromatic components are part of what makes the treatment feel like a proper Japanese head-spa ritual. If you know you are particularly sensitive to essential oils or fragranced hair products, however, they are worth keeping in mind.
HOW TO USE HEAD SPA TREATMENT
After shampooing, gently squeeze excess water from the hair.
Take an appropriate amount into your palm — for medium-length hair, Dr. Medion recommends approximately a 500-yen-coin-sized amount. Apply evenly through the hair, avoiding the scalp.
If your hair is particularly dry or damaged, apply a little extra through the ends.
Leave for approximately 2–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Shampoo → squeeze out excess water → Head Spa Treatment through lengths and ends → leave 2–3 minutes → rinse.
The product is concentrated, so more is not automatically better. Adjust the amount according to your hair length, density and level of damage.
WHY DO I AVOID THE SCALP?
Because this product is primarily designed to condition and repair the hair fibre, not cleanse or treat the scalp.
The richer emollient and conditioning ingredients belong where they are most useful: through the lengths and particularly the damaged ends.
Keeping the treatment away from the roots also helps preserve lightness and volume, especially if your hair is fine or becomes oily quickly.
For scalp care, that is what Head Spa Scalp and Head Spa Shampoo are for.
THE COMPLETE HEAD SPA ROUTINE
The three products work as a very logical system:
HEAD SPA SCALP → intensive scalp purification and reset
HEAD SPA SHAMPOO → regular scalp and hair cleansing
HEAD SPA TREATMENT → strengthening, conditioning and damage repair
