Dr. Medion Head Spa Shampoo is a carbonated foam shampoo designed to thoroughly cleanse the scalp and hair while minimising friction and maintaining moisture.
Unlike a conventional liquid shampoo that needs to be worked into a lather, it dispenses as a ready-made dense foam, allowing it to spread easily through the roots and remove excess sebum, sweat and everyday buildup without vigorous rubbing.

WHY I LIKE HEAD SPA SHAMPOO

WHY CARBONATED FOAM?
The most obvious difference is that you don't need to create the foam yourself. Head Spa Shampoo dispenses as a dense carbonated lather that can be distributed quickly across the scalp and hair.
This matters because wet hair is more vulnerable to mechanical damage. Excessive rubbing, pulling and tangling can disturb the cuticle — the overlapping outer layer responsible for much of the hair's smoothness and shine.
Less friction means a gentler washing process, particularly for fragile, chemically treated or easily tangled hair.

BEAOPLEX® VH — MULTIVITAMIN SCALP SUPPORT
Beaoplex® VH is Dr. Medion's multivitamin complex containing vitamins B3, B5, B6, C and E, including Niacinamide, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine HCl, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Tocopheryl Acetate.
Together they provide conditioning, moisturising and antioxidant support for the scalp. Niacinamide is particularly interesting here because the scalp is, after all, skin. Its barrier, hydration and overall condition deserve attention just as much as the skin on the face.
This doesn't turn a rinse-off shampoo into a scalp serum, but it makes the formula considerably more thoughtful than simply “remove oil and rinse.”

It can also help with occasional flaking when dryness, oil or everyday buildup are contributing factors. Persistent dandruff, significant inflammation or severe itching, however, may have an underlying scalp condition and should not simply be treated as a cleansing problem.
WILL IT HELP HAIR LOOK FULLER?
It can — particularly when flatness is caused by oil, dry shampoo or styling residue weighing down the roots. Removing that buildup allows the hair to sit more freely, while FiberHance™ BM supports the strength and body of the hair fibre.
Think cleaner roots → less weight → better lift + stronger-feeling hair → fuller appearance.
I would not position Head Spa Shampoo as a treatment for medical hair loss. Its role is much more credible and useful: supporting scalp health, improving hair strength, reducing the effects of buildup and helping the hair look healthier and fuller.
HEAD SPA SCALP vs HEAD SPA SHAMPOO
The two products complement each other but have different jobs.
HEAD SPA SCALP is the intensive 1–2 times weekly pre-shampoo reset, using CO₂ foam with Bentonite and Kaolin to absorb excess sebum and accumulated impurities.
HEAD SPA SHAMPOO is the regular cleansing step, designed to remove everyday oil and buildup while supporting scalp hydration and hair condition.
So simply: SCALP = intensive reset. SHAMPOO = regular maintenance.

HOW TO USE HEAD SPA SHAMPOO
Thoroughly wet the scalp and hair with warm water first. Do not shake the container.
Hold it upright and dispense approximately 5 cm in diameter of foam for medium-length hair, adjusting the amount according to hair length and density.
Apply directly through the scalp and hair and massage gently with your fingertips. There is no need to create a lather or scrub aggressively — the foam has already done that part for you.
Rinse thoroughly and follow with Dr. Medion Head Spa Treatment or your preferred conditioner.
Pre-rinse → Head Spa Shampoo → gentle massage → rinse → Head Spa Treatment.
Use according to your normal washing schedule. There is no need to automatically shampoo twice; one thorough cleanse may be perfectly sufficient unless the scalp is particularly oily or heavily loaded with styling products.
CAN I USE IT ON COLOURED OR DAMAGED HAIR?
Yes. In fact, CUTI-PRO™ and FiberHance™ BM make the formula particularly interesting when preserving the condition of damaged, coloured or environmentally stressed hair is a priority.
The formula also contains aromatic botanical oils including Orange, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Damask Rose and Clary Sage oils, which contribute to the fresh head-spa experience.
