Meder Net-Apax Prebiotic Calming Cleansing Gel

Meder Net-Apax Prebiotic Calming Cleansing Gel

Order by request

When your skin needs cleansing, but it also needs kindness.

Net-Apax is the cleanser I reach for when skin is telling us that it has had enough.

Maybe it feels sensitive. Maybe it flushes easily, feels tight after washing, becomes irritated by products that used to be fine, or simply seems to react to everything.

This is where cleansing becomes particularly important.

Because when the skin is already sensitive or compromised, the last thing I want to do is start the routine with an aggressive cleanser that removes everything—including the things your skin actually needs to protect itself.

Net-Apax gives us a completely different approach.

It gently cleanses while helping to calm, comfort and support the skin's natural protective barrier and microbiome.

I think of it as:

clean the skin → calm the skin → protect its balance → then treat.

WHY I LIKE NET-APAX

Sensitive skin doesn't necessarily need more products.

Very often, it needs less aggression.

And cleansing is one of the first places I look when somebody tells me their skin constantly feels tight, uncomfortable, red or reactive.

If you're washing your face twice a day with something that leaves it feeling stripped, we're already starting every routine by creating another problem.

Net-Apax is designed to cleanse without that aggressive feeling.

It uses a gentle micellar cleansing system to pick up oil, impurities and dead surface cells while maintaining a much more comfortable environment for sensitive skin.

But what makes it particularly interesting to me is that it doesn't stop at cleansing.

The formula also contains a prebiotic and soothing mallow extract, so we're thinking about the skin's microbiome and comfort at the same time.

For reactive skin, that's exactly the kind of multitasking I want.

WHAT DOES NET-APAX ACTUALLY DO?

Think of Net-Apax as a cleanser that tries to leave the skin in a better state than it found it.

It removes everyday impurities, excess oil and accumulated surface debris without giving you that harsh, squeaky-clean finish.

Its micellar cleansing system helps capture what needs to be removed from the skin while keeping the cleansing process gentle.

At the same time, the formula is designed to help calm visible redness and irritation and support the skin's natural protective barrier.

And then we have another very important part of the picture:

the microbiome.

Your skin is home to an enormous community of microorganisms. A healthy skin microbiome is part of the ecosystem that helps your skin function normally.

Net-Apax contains a prebiotic designed to support that environment rather than treating the skin as something that needs to be sterilised every time we wash it.

So rather than:

clean harder → strip everything → repair afterwards

we're taking the approach of:

clean gently → preserve balance → soothe → support.

WHO IS NET-APAX FOR?

I particularly like Net-Apax for skin that is:

Sensitive or reactive
When your skin seems to respond quickly to products, environmental changes or everyday triggers.

Redness-prone
When flushing or visible redness is something we're regularly trying to manage.

Dry and uncomfortable
Especially when cleansing tends to leave the skin feeling tight.

Irritated or temporarily compromised
When the skin needs a much gentler approach than usual.

Acne-prone but sensitive
Because having breakouts does not automatically mean your skin needs aggressive cleansing. Acne-prone skin can be sensitive too.

Over-treated
If you've been using too many acids, exfoliants, retinoids or strong products and the skin is starting to complain, simplifying the cleansing step can be very helpful.

Recovering after certain professional treatments
MEDER specifically recommends Net-Apax after skin injury, including after procedures such as laser treatments and chemical peels. In these situations, however, always follow the individual aftercare instructions given by your treating practitioner.

And actually, you don't have to have obviously sensitive skin to use Net-Apax.

Sometimes I choose it simply because I want the cleansing stage of a routine to be exceptionally gentle and supportive.

WHY DOES THE SKIN MICROBIOME MATTER?

You'll hear me talk about the microbiome quite a lot with MEDER, so it's worth understanding what we actually mean.

Your skin isn't a sterile surface.

It naturally hosts bacteria and other microorganisms, and collectively we call this community the skin microbiome.

When that ecosystem is balanced, it forms part of the skin's normal protective environment.

The goal of good skincare isn't to wipe everything off the face as aggressively as possible.

Especially with sensitive skin, I want to cleanse what needs to be removed while respecting the environment that healthy skin depends on.

This is one of the reasons Net-Apax contains a prebiotic.

A simple way to think about prebiotics is that they help create conditions that favour the beneficial microorganisms we want to support.

So when I describe Net-Apax as microbiome-friendly, I'm talking about a cleanser designed around the idea of working with the skin's ecosystem rather than constantly disturbing it.

HOW TO USE NET-APAX

Net-Apax is called a cleansing mask, so don't treat it like a foaming face wash that has to disappear from your skin immediately.

STEP 1 — APPLY

Take a small amount and spread it evenly over your face.

You don't need to overload the skin with product.

STEP 2 — MASSAGE

Massage gently over the skin, paying a little more attention to areas that need cleansing.

No scrubbing.

Sensitive skin does not need to be scrubbed into submission.

STEP 3 — GIVE IT 1–2 MINUTES

Leave Net-Apax on the skin for approximately one to two minutes.

This turns your everyday cleanse into a short calming cleansing-mask step.

It's easy enough to fit in—apply it, brush your teeth, and then rinse.

STEP 4 — RINSE

Rinse thoroughly with tepid water.

Avoid unnecessarily hot water, particularly if redness and sensitivity are already concerns.

STEP 5 — CONTINUE YOUR ROUTINE

Follow with your selected MEDER serum and moisturiser and finish your morning routine with appropriate sun protection.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?

Net-Apax can be used morning and evening as your regular daily cleanser.

And yes, I do want you cleansing in the morning.

Your skin hasn't been doing nothing while you've been asleep. Sebum, dead surface cells and other overnight build-up are still present, so a gentle morning cleanse gives us a clean, comfortable starting point for the products that follow.

With sensitive skin, the key word is gentle.

We're not trying to deep-clean the life out of your face twice a day.

We're simply keeping the skin clean while respecting its barrier.

YOUR MORNING ROUTINE

1. Net-Apax
Cleanse gently and rinse.

2. Your MEDER Serum
Selected according to what your skin actually needs.

3. Your MEDER Cream / Targeted Care

4. SPF

YOUR EVENING ROUTINE

If you're wearing substantial makeup:

1. Remove your makeup

2. Net-Apax

3. Your MEDER Serum

4. Your MEDER Cream / Evening Care

Simple, comfortable and consistent.

Sensitive skin usually doesn't benefit from turning every evening into a chemistry experiment.

WHAT ABOUT MAKEUP?

Net-Apax can deal with minimal or very light makeup, but I wouldn't use it as your only remover when you're wearing heavier products.

Long-wearing foundation, waterproof makeup, strong pigments and high-coverage products should be removed first with an appropriate makeup remover.

Then go in with Net-Apax for your actual skin cleanse.

Again, these are two different jobs:

makeup removal removes the product sitting on your face.

cleansing cleans the skin underneath it.

If you're wearing heavier makeup, we want to do both—but gently.

CAN I USE NET-APAX AS A MASK?

Yes.

And this is one of the things I really like about it.

Net-Apax isn't only your everyday cleanser; its short contact time means you're effectively giving the skin a quick calming cleansing mask every time you use it.

Leave it on for around 1–2 minutes before rinsing.

For skin that is feeling particularly uncomfortable, this can be a lovely little moment in the routine where we're not asking the skin to do more—we're giving it something gentle and supportive instead.

WHAT'S INSIDE IT?

You don't need to understand cosmetic chemistry to use Net-Apax properly.

But there are two ingredients I particularly want you to know about because they explain the philosophy behind the product.

PREBIOTIC BIOECOLIA®

This is one of the ingredients that makes Net-Apax particularly interesting for sensitive skin.

Bioecolia® is a prebiotic.

Rather than approaching the skin as something that needs to have all bacteria removed, prebiotic skincare is about supporting a healthier environment for the skin's beneficial microorganisms.

That's important because the microbiome forms part of the bigger picture when we're talking about skin balance, comfort and resilience.

With sensitive skin, I don't just want to temporarily make it feel better.

Where possible, I want the routine itself to support an environment in which the skin can behave more normally.

MALLOW EXTRACT

Net-Apax also contains Malva sylvestris—mallow extract.

Mallow has traditionally been valued for its soothing properties, and here it complements the gentler, calming nature of the formula.

Think of this as the comfort side of Net-Apax.

While the cleansing system deals with what needs to come off the skin, mallow helps support the soothing character we want from a cleanser designed for sensitive and irritation-prone complexions.

WHAT SHOULD MY SKIN FEEL LIKE AFTERWARDS?

This is probably one of the easiest ways to judge whether we're moving in the right direction.

After cleansing, I want your skin to feel:

Clean. Soft. Calm. Comfortable.

Not tight.

Not squeaky.

Not hot.

And definitely not like you need to run for your moisturiser because your face suddenly feels two sizes too small.

Particularly with sensitive skin, comfort after cleansing matters.

Your cleanser is the beginning of your routine. If your skin already feels unhappy after step one, everything we apply afterwards is starting from a disadvantage.

WHAT IF MY CURRENT CLEANSER MAKES MY FACE FEEL TIGHT?

I would take that seriously.

People sometimes assume tightness means their cleanser has done an excellent job.

It doesn't.

That very clean, almost stretched feeling can be a sign that you've removed more from the skin than you needed to.

And if we're already dealing with sensitivity, dryness or a compromised barrier, repeatedly doing that morning and evening makes very little sense.

Cleansing should remove what we don't want without unnecessarily disturbing what the skin needs.

That's the standard I want you to use when judging any cleanser.

CAN I USE NET-APAX AFTER A PEEL, LASER OR OTHER PROCEDURE?

Net-Apax is one of MEDER's cleansers specifically positioned for compromised and post-procedure skin, and MEDER recommends it after skin injury, including procedures such as laser treatment and chemical peels.

But there is an important distinction here:

your practitioner's aftercare instructions always come first.

Different procedures have different depths, recovery periods and restrictions.

So if you've recently had laser, a peel, surgery or another procedure, don't introduce—or reintroduce—products simply because they're described as gentle.

Follow your treatment-specific aftercare plan and use Net-Apax when your practitioner has advised that cleansing can resume.

WHEN WILL I SEE A DIFFERENCE?

Comfort is something you may notice very quickly.

If you've been using an unnecessarily aggressive cleanser, simply changing the way you cleanse can make the skin feel very different.

But when we're trying to improve ongoing sensitivity, redness, barrier function or general skin resilience, I don't want you judging the entire programme after two days.

Sensitive skin often needs consistency and fewer unnecessary disruptions.

The cleanser is the foundation.

Then we build the rest of your homecare around what your particular skin needs.

NET-APAX OR NRJ-NET?

This is the easiest way I explain the difference.

CHOOSE NET-APAX IF...

Your skin is sensitive, reactive, redness-prone, irritated or simply needs a very gentle cleansing approach.

We're prioritising comfort, microbiome support and preservation of the skin's natural protective barrier.

CHOOSE NRJ-NET IF...

Sensitivity isn't a concern and we're looking for a more energising, revitalising and gently renewing cleansing treatment.

Neither one is the "better cleanser."

The question is:

Which cleanser is better for your skin?

And that's a very different question.

WHAT SHOULD I USE AFTER NET-APAX?

This depends on why I've chosen Net-Apax for you in the first place.

Within MEDER's sensitive-skin routine, the natural next step is Soin-Apax Sensitive Skin Serum, followed by an appropriate moisturiser such as Salva-Derm when we're focusing on sensitivity, comfort and barrier support.

But Net-Apax isn't limited to one routine.

MEDER also incorporates it into routines for dry skin and acne-prone skin where sensitivity or the need for gentle cleansing is part of the picture.

That's why I don't want you choosing the rest of your products simply because they're from the same range.

We look at your skin as a whole, decide what we're trying to achieve, and build the routine around that.

MY NET-APAX RULES

If you remember nothing else from this page, remember these:

Gentle really does mean gentle.
You don't need aggressive cleansing to have clean skin.

Give it 1–2 minutes.
Treat it as the cleansing mask it is rather than immediately washing it away.

Don't scrub.
Massage gently and let the product do its job.

Keep the water tepid.
Especially if heat tends to trigger redness or discomfort.

Remove heavy makeup separately.
Then use Net-Apax to cleanse the actual skin.

Don't keep changing products.
Sensitive skin often benefits from a consistent, well-selected routine rather than constant experimentation.

After a professional procedure, follow your practitioner's instructions.
"Suitable for sensitive skin" doesn't override procedure-specific aftercare.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Net-Apax is the cleanser I want you to think of when the priority is keeping the skin clean without picking a fight with it.

It removes what needs to be removed while taking a much more respectful approach to sensitivity, the skin barrier and the microbiome.

And that matters.

Because sensitive skin doesn't always need another powerful active ingredient. Sometimes the smartest thing we can do is stop repeatedly disturbing it.

Net-Apax gives us a calm, comfortable starting point from which the rest of your skincare can actually do its job.

It's simple.

It's gentle.

And for the right skin, that's exactly the point.
