Meder Myo-Fix Active Serum
Meder Myo-Fix Active Serum
Active Care Cream for Expression Wrinkles
When the wrinkle isn't only about ageing — it's about how your face moves.
Myo-Fix is the targeted treatment I reach for when we're dealing specifically with expression wrinkles.
These are the lines created and reinforced by repeated facial movement:
Frowning.
Squinting.
Raising your eyebrows.
Smiling.
Pursing your lips.
Over time, the skin repeatedly folds in the same places and those temporary creases can gradually become visible even when your face is completely relaxed.
This is where Myo-Fix is different from a traditional anti-ageing serum.
We're not primarily treating dryness or general loss of firmness.
We're looking at the relationship between facial tension, repeated movement and the wrinkles that movement creates.
I think of it as:
relax tension → soften repeated creasing → support the skin → smooth expression lines.
WHY I LIKE MYO-FIX
Not every wrinkle has the same cause.
And if we don't understand why a line is forming, we can't choose the most logical way to treat it.
A dehydration line needs hydration.
Age-related structural changes may need collagen and elasticity support.
But the deep line sitting between your eyebrows because you've unconsciously been frowning at your computer for fifteen years?
That's a different story.
With expression wrinkles, the skin is being folded repeatedly by the muscles underneath it.
Myo-Fix was developed specifically around that relationship.
Its formula contains several peptides designed to help reduce excessive facial tension and soften the appearance of movement-related wrinkles, while other peptides support collagen, elastin and the structural quality of the skin.
So we're approaching the problem from both directions:
reduce repeated creasing + improve the skin being creased.
That's what makes Myo-Fix such an interesting product.
WHO IS MYO-FIX FOR?
I particularly like Myo-Fix for:
Forehead lines
Especially horizontal lines created by repeatedly raising the eyebrows.
Frown lines / “11 lines”
The vertical lines between the eyebrows associated with repeated frowning and concentration.
Crow's feet
Expression lines developing around the outer corners of the eyes.
Upper-lip or purse-string lines
Fine vertical lines associated with repeated movement around the mouth.
Early expression wrinkles
When lines are starting to remain visible even after the facial expression has relaxed.
Established mimic wrinkles
When repeated movement has already created more persistent creasing.
People who don't want injectable wrinkle treatment
When we're looking for a completely topical, non-invasive approach.
People wanting to maintain the appearance of previous injectable results
When Myo-Fix is introduced at an appropriate stage after treatment.
Younger adults beginning to notice repetitive expression lines
Myo-Fix is recommended from approximately 25+, because expression wrinkles can appear long before the more structural changes associated with mature skin.
The important thing is that we're choosing it for the right type of wrinkle.
WHAT EXACTLY IS AN EXPRESSION WRINKLE?
Make an angry face in the mirror.
Now relax.
When you're young, the lines created by that expression usually disappear immediately.
But repeat the same movement thousands and thousands of times over the years and the skin continues folding in exactly the same places.
Gradually, those temporary lines can become more permanent.
The classic examples are:
forehead lines
frown lines between the eyebrows
crow's feet
vertical upper-lip lines
We call these dynamic or expression wrinkles because movement plays such a large role in their formation.
Eventually, a dynamic wrinkle can become a static wrinkle — meaning you can see it even when your face is relaxed.
That's why I like addressing expression lines before they become deeply established.
We're not trying to stop you smiling or expressing yourself.
We're trying to reduce the constant unnecessary tension that repeatedly folds the skin.
WHAT DOES MYO-FIX ACTUALLY DO?
Myo-Fix uses a combination of specialised peptides that target different parts of the expression-wrinkle problem.
Some of the peptides are designed to influence the signalling involved in muscular contraction at the skin's surface.
The practical result we're looking for is less excessive tension and less repetitive creasing.
Other peptides support the skin itself by encouraging the structural processes associated with collagen, elastin and skin renewal.
So rather than:
muscle moves → skin folds → wrinkle deepens
we're trying to create:
less unnecessary tension → less repeated folding → better-supported skin → softer-looking expression lines.
And importantly:
your face still moves.
We're not trying to remove your ability to smile, frown or raise your eyebrows.
The goal is a softer, more relaxed expression, not a frozen one.
MYO-FIX IS NOT BOTOX
This distinction is extremely important.
MEDER often describes Myo-Fix as a toxin-free alternative to injectable wrinkle treatments.
But topical skincare and botulinum toxin injections are not the same thing.
Botulinum toxin is injected into selected muscles and acts at the neuromuscular junction to significantly reduce muscular contraction.
Myo-Fix is a topical cosmetic product.
It uses peptides designed to reduce the appearance of expression-related tension and creasing at the skin level.
So while they may be addressing the same type of wrinkle, they do not deliver the treatment in the same way or produce an identical degree of muscle immobilisation.
I would rather explain it as:
Botulinum toxin directly reduces muscle contraction through injection.
Myo-Fix gives us a topical, gradual and non-invasive approach to expression wrinkles.
Both belong in very different treatment categories.
WILL MY FACE LOOK FROZEN?
No — and I don't want it to.
Your facial expressions are an important part of how you communicate.
A smile should still look like a smile.
Surprise should still look like surprise.
And if somebody annoys you, unfortunately you'll still be perfectly capable of letting them know.
The aim with Myo-Fix is not to remove voluntary facial expression.
We're trying to soften the excessive, repetitive tension that happens without you even noticing it.
Think about how often you may:
frown while reading.
raise your eyebrows while concentrating.
squint at a screen.
tighten your forehead when stressed.
These little movements happen all day.
Reducing some of that constant tension can help the skin crease less aggressively while still leaving your face looking completely natural.
HOW TO USE MYO-FIX
Unlike most MEDER active serums, Myo-Fix is a targeted active care cream.
You don't need to cover your entire face with it.
Apply it specifically where expression lines are developing.
The classic MEDER sequence is:
Energy-Net → Energy-Soin → Myo-Fix → Salva-Derm
STEP 1 — CLEANSE
Start with your appropriate MEDER cleanser.
For non-sensitive skin, Energy-Net is the classic pairing.
STEP 2 — APPLY YOUR EVERYDAY SERUM
Apply Energy-Soin or the everyday MEDER serum selected for your skin.
Allow it to absorb.
STEP 3 — APPLY MYO-FIX
Apply a small amount directly to areas affected by expression wrinkles.
Typically:
forehead
between the eyebrows
outer eye area
upper-lip lines
Concentrate the product where the movement-related lines actually exist rather than automatically spreading it everywhere.
STEP 4 — ALLOW IT TO ABSORB
Gently smooth the product over the treatment area.
There's no need for aggressive massage.
STEP 5 — FINISH YOUR ROUTINE
Follow with your selected MEDER moisturiser.
Within the classic mimic-wrinkle routine, MEDER pairs Myo-Fix with Salva-Derm.
During the day, finish with appropriate sun protection.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?
Myo-Fix is designed to be used morning and evening.
And consistency matters enormously.
This isn't a cream I want you applying occasionally before going out and expecting a forehead line to disappear.
We're trying to gradually influence a movement pattern that has been repeated thousands of times.
MEDER recommends a targeted active-care course of approximately 5–10 weeks.
The brand indicates that visible smoothing develops progressively during that period with consistent application.
So with Myo-Fix, think:
twice daily + consistently + give it time.
YOUR MORNING ROUTINE
1. Energy-Net
Cleanse and prepare the skin.
2. Energy-Soin
Your everyday antioxidant serum.
3. Myo-Fix
Apply specifically to expression-line areas.
4. Salva-Derm / Your MEDER Cream
5. SPF
YOUR EVENING ROUTINE
If you're wearing substantial makeup:
1. Remove your makeup
2. Energy-Net
3. Energy-Soin
4. Myo-Fix
5. Salva-Derm / Your MEDER Cream
And once or twice weekly, Myo-Fix Mask can be introduced for additional peptide-based support.
Simple.
The important part is putting Myo-Fix where the expression wrinkles actually are.
WHAT'S INSIDE IT?
Myo-Fix is essentially a peptide-focused formula.
And rather than relying on one peptide to solve everything, the current version combines several that approach expression lines and skin quality from slightly different angles.
ARGIRELINE® PEPTIDE
Argireline® — acetyl hexapeptide-8 — is probably one of the best-known cosmetic peptides used for expression lines.
It is designed to influence signalling associated with muscular contraction.
That's why you'll sometimes hear it described rather dramatically as a "Botox-like peptide."
I prefer a more realistic explanation.
It doesn't turn a topical cream into injectable botulinum toxin.
What it gives us is a cosmetic way of helping reduce the repetitive tension associated with expression-line formation.
That's the role we're interested in.
LEUPHASYL® / PENTAPEPTIDE-18
Leuphasyl® approaches expression lines through another signalling pathway.
Again, the purpose is to help reduce excessive muscular tension at the skin level.
This is interesting because Myo-Fix isn't relying on one single mechanism.
Argireline® and Leuphasyl® complement one another as part of the wrinkle-relaxing side of the formula.
For you, the important takeaway is simply:
less unnecessary facial tension = less repeated folding of the skin.
MUNAPSYS™ PEPTIDE
Munapsys™ is one of the newer-generation peptides incorporated into the updated Myo-Fix formula.
It was designed specifically around the molecular pathways involved in muscular contraction.
Again, I don't need you memorising the names of nerve-signalling proteins.
What matters is why it's there.
Munapsys™ gives Myo-Fix another way of targeting movement-related facial tension.
So instead of relying on one "hero peptide," the formula uses several complementary peptide technologies.
MATRIXYL® 3000
Now we move from facial movement to the quality of the skin itself.
Matrixyl® 3000 is a peptide complex widely used in age-supportive skincare.
Its role is to support the signalling associated with the skin's natural repair processes and structural components, including collagen.
This matters because expression wrinkles aren't only about the muscle underneath.
The condition of the skin folding over that muscle matters too.
Young, resilient skin recovers from repeated folding much more easily.
As structural support declines, those creases become more persistent.
So Myo-Fix isn't only asking:
"How much is the face moving?"
It's also asking:
"How well can the skin cope with that movement?"
IDEALIFT™ / ELASTICITY-SUPPORTING PEPTIDE
The current Myo-Fix formula also includes peptide technology aimed at supporting elasticity.
And elasticity is particularly relevant to expression wrinkles.
Every time you make an expression, the skin stretches and folds.
Healthy elastic tissue helps it return towards its normal position afterwards.
As that elasticity declines, lines remain visible for longer.
So this side of the formula helps us support the skin's bounce and resilience, rather than focusing only on reducing movement.
LEUCIDAL® FERMENT
Leucidal® is derived from radish-root fermentation.
It contributes to the microbiome-conscious side of the formula and complements MEDER's wider philosophy of supporting the skin rather than unnecessarily disturbing its ecosystem.
I like this because even when we're targeting wrinkles, we're not forgetting that we're still dealing with a living skin barrier and microbiome.
A wrinkle treatment should not require us to compromise the health of the surrounding skin.
WHY DOES MYO-FIX USE SO MANY PEPTIDES?
Because expression wrinkles aren't created by one single process.
We have:
muscle signalling
repetitive tension
skin folding
collagen quality
elasticity
skin renewal
So rather than asking one peptide to perform every job, Myo-Fix uses a combination designed to address different parts of that process.
Some focus more heavily on the movement side.
Others support the skin structure side.
That's what makes the formulation more interesting than simply adding one trendy peptide to a moisturiser and calling it an expression-line treatment.
CAN I APPLY MYO-FIX AROUND MY EYES?
Myo-Fix is designed for expression wrinkles including crow's feet, so it can be applied carefully to the outer eye area where those lines form.
But I don't want you treating it like eye drops.
Keep it away from the actual eye, eyelids and lash line.
Use a small amount and concentrate on the outer expression-line area.
If your main concern is general under-eye ageing, dryness, dark circles or puffiness rather than crow's feet specifically, MEDER's dedicated eye products may be more appropriate.
Again:
right product → right problem → right area.
WHAT ABOUT UPPER-LIP LINES?
Yes.
Myo-Fix is specifically intended for the fine vertical expression lines that can develop around the upper lip.
These are sometimes called purse-string lines.
Repeated movement of the muscles around the mouth contributes to their formation, although ageing, UV exposure, loss of collagen and other factors can also play a role.
Apply a very small amount over the skin where those lines form.
And obviously:
not on the lips themselves and not inside the mouth.
CAN I USE MYO-FIX WITH RETINOL?
This is an important one.
MEDER specifically recommends NOT combining Myo-Fix with retinol or retinoid skincare during the Myo-Fix treatment course.
The brand also advises avoiding AHAs — alpha hydroxy acids — alongside Myo-Fix.
So if you're starting a dedicated Myo-Fix programme, I don't want you automatically continuing every strong active you've previously used.
MEDER recommends putting retinol and AHA skincare aside during the initial Myo-Fix course.
And actually, there is a bigger skincare lesson here.
You don't need every effective ingredient on your face at exactly the same time.
Sometimes getting the best out of one targeted programme means simplifying everything around it.
WHAT ABOUT ENZY-PEEL?
Enzy-Peel is different from a traditional AHA exfoliant.
It uses enzyme-based exfoliation rather than building the treatment around strong alpha hydroxy acids.
MEDER includes Enzy-Peel within the wider mimic-wrinkle routine as a weekly addition.
So when we're using Myo-Fix, I would favour the exfoliation system that has been designed to work within the MEDER programme rather than randomly adding a strong glycolic peel from another routine.
Again, the goal isn't maximum activity.
It's compatible activity.
CAN I USE MYO-FIX IF I'VE HAD BOTULINUM TOXIN INJECTIONS?
Yes, potentially.
Myo-Fix and injectable botulinum toxin aren't mutually exclusive.
MEDER specifically positions Myo-Fix as something that can be introduced later to help maintain the appearance of injectable wrinkle-treatment results.
The brand currently recommends beginning Myo-Fix approximately 16–18 weeks after botulinum toxin treatment, then using it twice daily for five weeks followed by once daily for another five weeks.
However, injectable treatments are medical procedures.
So if you're currently having botulinum toxin treatment, I want the timing of additional products to fit with the plan agreed with your injector.
We're complementing professional treatment — not interfering with it.
CAN MYO-FIX REPLACE INJECTABLES?
That depends entirely on what result you expect.
If what you want is:
a topical
needle-free
gradual
natural-expression-preserving approach
to expression wrinkles, then Myo-Fix can be very interesting.
If what you want is the degree and speed of muscular reduction typically achieved through professionally administered botulinum toxin injections, I don't want to pretend a cream produces an identical result.
They're different interventions.
Some clients will happily choose Myo-Fix because they don't want injections.
Some may use injectables and later introduce Myo-Fix as part of their maintenance routine.
And some may combine professional treatments with appropriate homecare over time.
There isn't one universally "correct" choice.
There is the choice that makes sense for your goals, your face and your comfort level.
CAN I USE MYO-FIX DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING?
MEDER states that Myo-Fix is suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and the brand specifically positions it as a topical option for people who want to address expression wrinkles without injectable toxin treatment.
That said, pregnancy and breastfeeding are times when I prefer skincare routines to be kept clear and considered as a whole.
If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, under medical care or using prescription skincare, it's always reasonable to have the complete routine reviewed by your healthcare professional.
WHAT SHOULD MY SKIN FEEL LIKE AFTERWARDS?
You shouldn't expect your forehead to suddenly feel numb.
And you shouldn't feel as though your face can't move.
Myo-Fix works gradually.
What I want you noticing over time is:
less habitual tension
a softer-looking forehead
less pronounced frown lines
smoother crow's feet
a more relaxed overall expression
while still being able to move your face normally.
And because some of the peptides also support the structure of the skin, we're not only looking at movement.
We're also looking for skin that appears smoother and better supported.
WHEN WILL I SEE A DIFFERENCE?
This isn't an instant wrinkle eraser.
Myo-Fix works gradually with consistent use.
MEDER recommends thinking in terms of approximately 5–10 weeks for the targeted treatment programme, with visible smoothing developing progressively.
And this is one product where photographs can be very useful.
Take a clear photo:
Face relaxed.
Same lighting.
Same angle.
Then repeat it several weeks later.
I would take two photographs if possible:
one with your face completely relaxed
and
one making the expression that creates the wrinkle.
That gives us a much better idea of whether the line itself and the underlying tension pattern are changing.
MYO-FIX OR ARMA-LIFT?
Both deal with wrinkles.
But they are not interchangeable.
CHOOSE MYO-FIX IF...
Your main concern is expression-related wrinkles.
Think:
forehead lines.
frown lines.
crow's feet.
upper-lip lines.
The movement of the face is a major part of the problem.
CHOOSE ARMA-LIFT IF...
We're dealing primarily with structural ageing.
Think:
loss of firmness.
declining elasticity.
mature or menopausal skin.
general age-related wrinkles.
fragility and changing skin quality.
The easiest way I explain it is:
Myo-Fix = how the face moves.
Arma-Lift = how the skin ages.
And of course, a person can eventually have both types of concern.
MYO-FIX CREAM OR MYO-FIX MASK?
They complement one another, but they don't do exactly the same job.
MYO-FIX ACTIVE CARE CREAM
This is your daily targeted expression-line treatment.
Apply it specifically to areas affected by repeated facial movement, morning and evening.
MYO-FIX MASK
This is your intensive weekly peptide treatment.
The mask combines its own muscle-relaxing peptide with peptides supporting skin structure and hydration.
MEDER recommends using it once or twice weekly.
I particularly like the mask when the face looks tense or stressed, or when we're trying to reinforce the ongoing Myo-Fix programme.
Think:
cream = consistent everyday correction
mask = intensive weekly support
WHAT SHOULD I USE AFTER MYO-FIX?
Within MEDER's classic mimic-wrinkle routine, Myo-Fix is followed by Salva-Derm.
So the complete routine becomes:
Energy-Net → Energy-Soin → Myo-Fix → Salva-Derm
Then SPF during the day.
For weekly support, MEDER adds:
Enzy-Peel + Myo-Fix Mask
And depending on the rest of your skin concerns, we may also select appropriate eye care or night care.
But don't turn this into:
"If four products are good, twelve must be better."
Expression wrinkles respond to consistent targeted treatment, not to piling every anti-ageing ingredient you own onto the same area.
MY MYO-FIX RULES
If you remember nothing else from this page, remember these:
Know what kind of wrinkle you're treating.
Myo-Fix is specifically designed for movement-related expression lines.
Apply it where you need it.
Forehead, frown lines, crow's feet and upper-lip expression lines — not automatically the whole face.
Use it consistently.
Morning and evening during your targeted 5–10 week programme.
Don't expect a frozen face.
The goal is reduced unnecessary tension while preserving natural expression.
Myo-Fix isn't injectable botulinum toxin.
They may target the same category of wrinkle, but they are completely different treatments.
Put retinol and AHAs aside during the course.
MEDER specifically advises against combining these with Myo-Fix.
Don't chase instant results.
Peptide-based expression-line care develops gradually.
Watch your own facial habits.
Skincare helps, but becoming aware of constant unconscious frowning, squinting and tension can also make a difference.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Myo-Fix is the product I want you to think of when the wrinkle isn't only sitting in the skin — it's being created again and again by the way your face moves.
We're not trying to erase your personality.
We're not trying to stop you smiling.
And we're certainly not trying to freeze your face.
We're reducing unnecessary repetitive tension while supporting the skin that sits over those constantly moving muscles.
That's why Myo-Fix is different from a general anti-ageing serum.
It asks a much more specific question:
What keeps creating this particular wrinkle?
And when the answer is:
movement + tension + repeated folding
then Myo-Fix becomes a very interesting solution.
The goal isn't a face that doesn't move.
It's a face that looks smoother, softer and more relaxed when it isn't supposed to be moving.
