Meder Lipo-Oval Facial Contouring Active Serum

Meder Lipo-Oval Facial Contouring Active Serum

Order by request

When your face looks puffier, heavier or less defined than it used to.

Lipo-Oval is the targeted serum I reach for when we're dealing with facial puffiness, fluid retention, a heavier-looking lower face, jowls or loss of definition around the jawline.

And this is one product where I really want you to understand what we're trying to achieve.

Because Lipo-Oval is often described as a "face slimming" serum.

But skincare isn't weight loss.

And no serum is going to completely restructure your face or magically remove a significant double chin.

What we can work on is the combination of puffiness, localised facial fullness, circulation and declining skin elasticity that can make the face appear heavier and less defined.

That's where Lipo-Oval becomes interesting.

I think of it as:

de-puff β†’ drain β†’ support β†’ redefine.

WHY I LIKE LIPO-OVAL

Our faces don't necessarily age only by developing wrinkles.

The shape of the face changes too.

You may notice that your jawline isn't as sharp as it used to be.

The lower face starts looking heavier.

Jowls become more noticeable.

Your cheeks seem puffier in the morning.

Or you look in the mirror and simply feel that your face has lost some of its previous definition.

There can be many reasons for this.

Fluid retention can play a role.

Changes in facial fat can play a role.

Loss of skin elasticity can play a role.

Ageing and gravity contribute.

And sometimes genetics simply mean that your face naturally retains more fluid or fullness in certain areas.

Lipo-Oval approaches the problem from several directions at once.

We're working on puffiness and circulation, while also supporting the structures involved in skin firmness and addressing localised facial fullness.

So rather than thinking:

"This serum makes my face thinner."

I want you thinking:

"This serum helps a puffy, heavy-looking face appear fresher and more defined."

That's a much more realistic way to understand it.

WHAT DOES LIPO-OVAL ACTUALLY DO?

There are really three parts to the Lipo-Oval story.

First, we're working on puffiness and fluid retention.

Caffeine and niacinamide help support microcirculation, making them particularly useful when the face tends to look swollen or congested.

Second, MEDER uses Slim-Excessβ„’, a red-algae-derived biotech complex designed to target localised facial fat deposits and support a more sculpted appearance.

And third, Idealiftβ„’ peptide supports elastin production and skin elasticity.

That last part matters because reducing puffiness isn't enough if the tissues themselves are losing firmness.

So we're combining:

less puffiness

better microcirculation

support for localised facial fullness

better elasticity

more visible facial definition

rather than relying on one mechanism to do everything.

WHO IS LIPO-OVAL FOR?

I particularly like Lipo-Oval for skin and facial concerns involving:

Facial puffiness
When your face regularly looks swollen, particularly in the morning.

Fluid retention
When facial fullness seems to fluctuate from day to day.

A less-defined jawline
When the lower face has started looking softer or heavier.

A slight double chin
When localised fullness beneath the chin is contributing to loss of definition.

Jowls
Particularly when facial fullness and declining elasticity are both contributing.

Malar bags
When persistent puffiness over the upper cheek area is part of the concern.

Age-related facial changes
When the overall shape of the face is beginning to change rather than wrinkles being the only issue.

Genetically puffy faces
When facial swelling and fluid retention have always been something you struggle with.

During a weight-loss programme
When we're trying to support the appearance and elasticity of facial skin while body weight is changing.

And you don't need to have all of these concerns.

Sometimes the reason I choose Lipo-Oval is very simple:

your face is persistently puffy and we want it to look fresher and more defined.

PUFFINESS OR FACIAL FAT β€” WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

This is important because they can look similar in the mirror but they aren't the same thing.

Puffiness is generally associated with excess fluid within the tissues.

And fluid can fluctuate.

That's why you may wake up looking puffy after:

a salty meal.

alcohol.

poor sleep.

certain hormonal changes.

travelling.

or simply sleeping in a particular position.

Then a few hours later, your face looks more normal again.

Facial fat, on the other hand, doesn't disappear between breakfast and lunch.

It's part of the structure and volume of the face.

And as we age, the distribution and behaviour of facial fat can change.

Lipo-Oval is interesting because MEDER designed the serum to address both fluid-related puffiness and localised facial fullness while also supporting elasticity.

But understanding what is causing the fullness matters.

Because not every double chin is caused by the same thing.

WHAT ABOUT A DOUBLE CHIN?

This is where I want to keep expectations realistic.

A double chin can be influenced by:

Genetics.

Localised fat.

Facial structure.

Skin laxity.

Ageing.

Posture.

Weight changes.

Or a combination of several of these.

So no, I don't want to tell you that applying a serum twice a day will magically remove every double chin.

MEDER specifically recommends Lipo-Oval for slight double chin and localised facial fullness, and it can be particularly useful when puffiness is contributing to the problem.

If you have significant submental fullness or substantial skin laxity, professional treatments may be more appropriate.

Lipo-Oval can still form part of your homecare, but skincare needs to stay within the limits of what skincare can realistically achieve.

LIPO-OVAL AND JOWLS

Jowls are another concern where there is rarely one single cause.

As we age, the face changes structurally.

Skin loses elasticity.

Soft tissues shift.

Facial fat distribution changes.

And gravity becomes increasingly visible.

Lipo-Oval approaches this from two useful directions.

We're helping reduce the puffy or heavy appearance that can make the lower face look less defined.

At the same time, Idealiftβ„’ peptide supports elastin production and skin elasticity.

So I don't think of Lipo-Oval as a "jowl remover."

I think of it as helping us support the contour and definition of the lower face when puffiness and declining elasticity are part of the problem.

HOW TO USE LIPO-OVAL

Lipo-Oval is a targeted active serum, so it comes after your everyday MEDER serum.

For non-sensitive, puffy skin, a typical MEDER routine may look like:

Energy-Net β†’ Energy-Soin β†’ Lipo-Oval β†’ Derma-Fill

STEP 1 β€” CLEANSE

Start with your appropriate MEDER cleanser.

For non-sensitive skin, Energy-Net is the natural pairing within MEDER's puffiness routine.

STEP 2 β€” APPLY YOUR EVERYDAY SERUM

Apply Energy-Soin and allow it to absorb.

If your skin requires Soin-Apax instead, we adjust accordingly.

STEP 3 β€” APPLY LIPO-OVAL

Apply Lipo-Oval over the face and neck, paying particular attention to the areas where you experience puffiness or localised fullness.

For most people, this means the:

cheeks

jawline

chin

upper cheek / malar area

You don't necessarily need to apply it over the forehead and temples if those areas aren't part of the concern.

STEP 4 β€” ALLOW IT TO ABSORB

Give the serum a moment to settle into the skin.

There's no need for aggressive massage.

STEP 5 β€” FINISH YOUR ROUTINE

Follow with Derma-Fill or the MEDER moisturiser selected for your skin.

During the day, finish with appropriate sun protection.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?

Lipo-Oval is designed to be used morning and evening.

The current MEDER recommendation is to use it consistently for at least 10–12 weeks.

For genetically determined puffiness or persistent malar bags, longer-term or daily use may make sense.

The important thing is that Lipo-Oval isn't an emergency product that you use only the morning after a salty dinner.

If facial puffiness and contour are concerns we're actively trying to improve, consistency matters.

We're trying to influence the way the tissues look over time β€” not simply produce a temporary de-puffing effect for one afternoon.

YOUR MORNING ROUTINE

1. Energy-Net
Cleanse and prepare the skin.

2. Energy-Soin
Your everyday antioxidant serum.

3. Lipo-Oval
Your targeted puffiness and facial-contouring step.

4. Derma-Fill / Your MEDER Cream

5. SPF

YOUR EVENING ROUTINE

If you're wearing substantial makeup:

1. Remove your makeup

2. Energy-Net

3. Energy-Soin

4. Lipo-Oval

5. Derma-Fill / Your MEDER Cream

And once or twice a week, we can add Lipo-Oval Mask for a more intensive draining and de-puffing treatment.

Again, every product has a reason for being there.

WHERE EXACTLY SHOULD I APPLY IT?

This is one targeted serum where I don't necessarily need you covering every square centimetre of your face.

Concentrate on the areas where puffiness and fullness actually occur.

For most people, that's the cheeks, lower face, jawline and underneath the chin.

If malar puffiness is part of the concern, we can also work over the upper cheek area.

The forehead and temples generally don't accumulate the same degree of fluid or localised fullness, so you don't need to use product there simply because it's part of your face.

Targeted skincare should be exactly that:

targeted.

WHAT'S INSIDE IT?

Lipo-Oval combines familiar ingredients with two more specialised biotech actives.

CAFFEINE

Caffeine is probably the ingredient you'll recognise immediately.

In skincare, caffeine is particularly interesting when we're working with puffiness and microcirculation.

It also has a long history of use in body-contouring products because of its relationship with fat metabolism.

Within Lipo-Oval, caffeine forms part of the serum's de-puffing and contour-supporting action.

But I don't want you reducing the whole product to:

"caffeine burns facial fat."

That's far too simplistic.

Think of caffeine as one part of a wider system targeting puffiness, circulation and localised fullness.

NIACINAMIDE

Niacinamide β€” vitamin B3 β€” appears in several MEDER formulas because it has such a broad range of skin benefits.

Here, we're particularly interested in its role in supporting microcirculation and overall skin quality.

This complements the de-puffing action of caffeine while also giving us the wider skin-supporting benefits associated with niacinamide.

And I like that.

We're not trying to contour the face while forgetting about the quality of the skin covering it.

SLIM-EXCESSβ„’

Slim-Excessβ„’ is the ingredient behind much of MEDER's facial-fat-targeting claim.

It's a biotech complex based on hydrolysed red algae extract.

MEDER describes it as interacting with processes involved in fat metabolism, helping reduce the volume of localised facial fat pockets and support a more sculpted appearance.

This is where I want us to keep our expectations sensible.

We're talking about a cosmetic serum supporting the appearance of localised facial fullness.

We're not talking about the equivalent of weight loss, injectable fat-dissolving treatment or surgery.

Used consistently and in the right person, however, it makes Lipo-Oval much more interesting than a serum that simply de-puffs temporarily.

IDEALIFTβ„’

Idealiftβ„’ is a peptide designed to support elastin synthesis.

Elastin is one of the proteins involved in the skin's ability to stretch and return to shape.

As we age, that elastic quality declines.

And when we're talking about facial contour, elasticity matters enormously.

Because there's little point focusing only on facial volume while ignoring the skin's ability to hold and support that contour.

Idealiftβ„’ gives us the firming side of the Lipo-Oval formula.

Think:

less heaviness + better support.

WHAT SHOULD MY SKIN LOOK AND FEEL LIKE AFTERWARDS?

Lipo-Oval isn't designed to create a tight, uncomfortable sensation.

The serum itself is lightweight.

What we're looking for over time is a face that appears:

less puffy

less swollen

fresher

more defined

firmer

with a clearer-looking jawline and facial contour.

If fluid retention is a major part of your problem, changes in puffiness may be easier to notice.

If we're primarily working on facial fullness and elasticity, I want you to give the product considerably more time.

And please don't evaluate facial contour by staring at yourself in the mirror five times a day.

Changes like these are much easier to judge with consistent photographs taken under the same lighting and angle.

CAN I USE LIPO-OVAL UNDER MY EYES?

Lipo-Oval is designed for facial puffiness and MEDER includes under-eye and malar bags among the concerns associated with the product.

However, the eye area is delicate.

I don't want you taking a facial serum and rubbing it directly into the eyelids or too close to the eye simply because you're puffy.

For dedicated under-eye puffiness, MEDER also has Blepharo-Light, which is specifically formulated for the eye area.

So if your concern is primarily under-eye bags rather than facial puffiness, I may choose the dedicated eye product instead.

The right product in the right place always makes more sense than trying to make one serum do everything.

WHAT ABOUT MALAR BAGS?

Malar bags are the persistent areas of puffiness that can appear over the upper cheek, below the lower eyelid.

They can be frustrating because they don't necessarily behave like ordinary morning puffiness.

MEDER specifically includes malar bags among the concerns for Lipo-Oval.

If fluid retention is contributing, improving drainage and reducing puffiness can help the area look less heavy.

But again, malar bags can have a structural component.

If they're pronounced and persistent, skincare may improve their appearance without completely removing them.

That's an important distinction.

LIPO-OVAL AND WEIGHT LOSS

Lipo-Oval can also be interesting if you're planning significant weight loss.

When body weight changes, the face changes too.

Some people lose facial volume quickly and feel that the skin suddenly looks looser or more tired.

You've probably heard the phrase "Ozempic face", although the same type of facial change can happen with significant weight loss regardless of how the weight was lost.

Lipo-Oval isn't there to stop normal fat loss.

And it certainly shouldn't interfere with a medically appropriate weight-loss programme.

The reason MEDER recommends it in this context is the skin-supporting and elasticity side of the formula.

We're trying to support the appearance and structure of the skin while facial volume is changing.

So think:

support during weight loss

rather than:

prevent weight loss from showing on the face.

CAN LIPO-OVAL ACTUALLY MAKE MY FACE THINNER?

Potentially more defined is the language I prefer.

If your face looks fuller because of puffiness and fluid retention, reducing that swelling can absolutely make the face appear slimmer.

If you have slight localised fullness around the chin and lower face, Lipo-Oval's targeted actives may also help improve the appearance of that area over time.

But your basic facial structure isn't going to change because of a serum.

Your cheekbones won't move.

Your jawbone won't become narrower.

And significant facial fat isn't going to disappear overnight.

So my goal isn't to promise you a different face.

It's to help your face look less puffy, better supported and more defined.

That's a result I'm much more comfortable promising we can work towards.

WILL LIPO-OVAL HELP WITH SAGGING?

It can form part of a routine for early loss of firmness, particularly when sagging is happening alongside facial fullness and puffiness.

Idealiftβ„’ gives us specific elasticity support.

But if skin laxity itself is your main concern, another MEDER active serum β€” such as Arma-Lift β€” may be more appropriate.

This is why we identify the problem before choosing the product.

If the issue is primarily:

puffiness + facial fullness β†’ Lipo-Oval

If the issue is primarily:

age-related loss of firmness and elasticity β†’ we may choose a different targeted serum.

And sometimes, of course, both concerns exist together.

Then we build the routine accordingly.

LIPO-OVAL SERUM OR LIPO-OVAL MASK?

They belong to the same family, but their strengths are slightly different.

LIPO-OVAL ACTIVE SERUM

This is your daily targeted treatment.

It works on puffiness, localised facial fullness and elasticity and is used morning and evening.

LIPO-OVAL MASK

The mask gives us a more intensive draining and de-puffing action.

It's particularly useful when excess fluid is making the face look swollen, heavy or tired.

MEDER recommends using it once or twice a week.

So I don't think of the mask as replacing the serum.

Think:

serum = ongoing contour support

mask = intensive drainage and de-puffing

Used together, they give us a more complete Lipo-Oval programme.

WHEN WILL I SEE A DIFFERENCE?

This depends very much on what is making your face look fuller.

Fluid-related puffiness can change relatively quickly.

Localised facial fullness and changes in elasticity take longer.

For the active serum, MEDER currently recommends giving Lipo-Oval at least 10–12 weeks of consistent morning and evening use.

And this is one product where I strongly recommend photographs.

Take a clear photograph:

Straight on.

Neutral expression.

Same lighting.

Same distance.

Then repeat it several weeks later.

Because when you look at your own face every single day, gradual changes in contour can be surprisingly difficult to see.

WHAT SHOULD I USE AFTER LIPO-OVAL?

Within MEDER's routine for puffiness and a blotchy complexion, the natural moisturiser pairing is Derma-Fill.

So your routine may look like:

Energy-Net β†’ Energy-Soin β†’ Lipo-Oval β†’ Derma-Fill

Then SPF during the day.

If your skin has different needs β€” sensitivity, dryness, acne or something else β€” we adapt the surrounding products accordingly.

And if puffiness is a major concern, I may add:

Lipo-Oval Mask once or twice weekly

and Blepharo-Light when under-eye puffiness is part of the picture.

Again, we're building a routine around your face, not simply buying every product with the same name.

MY LIPO-OVAL RULES

If you remember nothing else from this page, remember these:

Puffiness and facial fat are not the same thing.
One can fluctuate quickly; the other cannot.

Skincare isn't weight loss.
Lipo-Oval supports facial contour but doesn't replace weight management or professional treatment.

Use it consistently.
Morning and evening for at least 10–12 weeks gives us a proper treatment period.

Apply it where you need it.
Focus on the cheeks, jawline, chin and areas prone to puffiness or fullness.

Don't expect a serum to change your bone structure.
We're improving definition β€” not creating a different face.

Be realistic about a double chin.
Slight localised fullness may respond; significant submental fullness may need professional treatment.

Support the skin during weight loss.
If facial volume is changing quickly, maintaining skin quality and elasticity becomes particularly important.

Use photographs.
Facial-contour changes are much easier to assess objectively over time.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Lipo-Oval is the serum I want you to think of when your face looks puffier, heavier or less defined than you would like.

We're not trying to shrink your face into a different shape.

We're looking at what is actually contributing to that heavier appearance.

Fluid retention.

Localised fullness.

Microcirculation.

Elasticity.

And the gradual effect of ageing and gravity on facial contour.

By working on several of those factors together, Lipo-Oval helps us move towards a face that looks less puffy, fresher, firmer and more defined.

And that's the distinction I want you to remember:

The goal isn't necessarily a smaller face.

It's a better-defined version of your own face.
